Outpatient Surgery Magazine’s New Surgical Construction Bulletin (NSCB) reports daily on the construction and renovation activities in the outpatient market across the country. This report reflects the solid continued growth of this medical segment and reveals the planned activity in the coming months and years as new facilities and renovations come online.

Some of these projects reflect multimillion-dollar investments while others are smaller in scope but just as important in the evolution of the outpatient community. Each project announcement provides important details for NSCB subscribers to allow them to make educated decisions about their interest in these new builds and renovations.

This database keeps users informed about all 50 states 24/7. In 2024, NSCB reported hundreds of newly planned constructions, capital equipment investments and renovation projects over the 12 months, demonstrating the trends to watch and where activity was happening in real time.

In the last quarter of 2024, these included 30 Hospital Renovations and Additions/Equipment, 43 new Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), 13 new Hospitals and 6 ASC Renovations/Equipment.

In fact, for the final winter quarter of 2024 overall activity was busy with a total of 105 projects reported which mirrored the 106 total projects in the final quarter in 2023. October 2024 recorded 39 projects, November noted 31 projects and December reflected 35 projects. The types of projects ranged from new hospitals and new ASCs to projects that called for major renovations, new additions and purchasing new equipment as well as launching Cath Labs.
