In a modern workplace where change often comes quickly and relentlessly, a leader should embody the concept of learning to embrace an agile mindset. This trait, employed to great use during the pandemic, is often described as the ability and keen desire to learn, unlearn and relearn new skills and information. Learning-agile leaders are more nimble, open-minded, flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and can process new information and innovate in relevant ways. A leader experienced in agility looks beyond the status quo to prepare for and react to change, and ultimately even anticipate change. When a leader personifies this desire to dive into new concepts and situations and learn new skills, team members are more likely to adopt the same mindset.
A great leader is agile and proactive in response to changing conditions.
