Observing your staff at work and seeing firsthand how various tasks are performed can sometimes prove to be extremely effective. While active, vocal leadership is productive, when a leader leaves the office and spends time with their people and processes, it reminds staff that their boss really cares about their work. It’s also a great opportunity to witness and better understand problems or dysfunction in real time — and then engage the team to work together on making improvements.
A great leader observes people and situations to better approach and solve problems.
