Ebony Mitchell-Wallace

RN Surgery Scheduling Coordinator/RN IV

Ebony N. Mitchell-Wallace, MSN, RN, BSH is an RN Surgery Scheduling Coordinator at Houston Methodist Hospital TMC and an RN IV Perioperative RN in the Red Duke Trauma Institute at Memorial Hermann Hospital TMC.  She earned a a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Health from Prairie View A&M University (2003), and a Master of Nursing Administration (2016) from Chamberlain College of Nursing.  Throughout her 20-year tenure as a Registered Nurse and 21-year tenure within perioperative services, Mrs. Mitchell-Wallace has served as a Charge RN, mentor, preceptor, Shared Governance Chair and Co-Chair, and participant on many hospitals wide and perioperative committees within both facilities.  

As an active member of multiple organizations including: the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Zeta Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc., The Federation of Houston Professional Women, Texas Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, Texas Collaboration of perioperative Registered Nurses( TCORN), Texas Nurses Association, and American Nurses Association, Ebony has served on several committees and as a leader among her peers. She has also served as a Nurse in Washington Intern, National, state, and local advocate and poster presenter, a speaker, moderator, and preceptor.  Mrs. Mitchell-Wallace believes that nursing is a co-dependent, diversified, and emerging profession that affords individuals with opportunities to autonomously provide safe and effective care in nurturing environments.
