Felix Rivera

As a BSN graduate of San Juan de Dios College in the Philippines, Felix Rivera Jr. has been a registered nurse in the Operating Room for 28 years, and as a First Assist for 15 years specializing in Robotic Surgery System. He is currently working at Saint Peter’s University Hospital Operating Room. He was nominated for the Collaborative Nurse Award and for the Aspiring Nurse Leader Award in May 2021. He received the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses in March 2022, awarded by the Daisy Foundation through Saint Peter’s University Hospital. Most recently, he's been the recipient of the 2023 PNANJ Middlesex County Subchapter's Nurse Advocate of the Year Award.  

Beyond this, he is an exceptionally involved leader and a lifetime member of AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses), as well as a past President of AORN Middlesex Chapter 3107 from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, he has been the Chairman of the New Jersey State Council of Perioperative Registered Nurses since 2020.
