Lorrie Cappellino, MS, RN, CNOR

Lorrie Cappellino – a perioperative RN and educator for more than 40 years – currently serves as AORN San Antonio Chapter president. And as Joint Commission surveyor, she surveys the standards in the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Ambulatory Care and Office Based Surgery Practices. Additionally, Cappellino holds a position as a perioperative RN course volunteer faculty member, and is also a verified yellow belt, helping establish and sustain a robust process improvement culture at healthcare organizations. A member of AORN for more than 30 years, Cappellino holds membership on the Nurse Educator and Leadership Assemblies and was a previous member of AORN's Environmental Safety Special Task Force. She is also the original author of AORN's Perioperative 101 Course Safety Module.
