Sharlet McGowen, MSN
CNOR Certified Nurse Leader
Sharlet McGowen is a certified nurse leader with more than 35 years of experience in leadership and operations in diverse clinical environments. She currently serves as the clinical director of adult surgical services, anesthesiology and OR EVS at the Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Health System.
She has held prior oversight over PAAT, preop, and PACU, and in her current role, she is responsible for financial accountability and stewardship for 250+ FTEs.
Some of her career highlights include participation in various KPI initiatives focusing on procedure flow efficiency; and mentoring in multiple perioperative internship programs, with a graduation rate of greater than 95 percent. She has also participated in mission trips to Central America to support and service underserved communities.
