Stephanie Battiste, RN, CNOR

Stephanie Battiste has been a peri-operative nurse for over 12 years, most recently specializing in pediatric cardiac surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Spending the past 12 years as a registered nurse, she has worked in the peri-operative arena as a skilled cardiac nurse as well as managed peri-operative services at both Stanford Healthcare (adult orthopedic surgery) and UCSF (pediatric peri-operative services). She has done multiple quality improvement projects related to pressure injury prevention, including implementing a successful interdisciplinary pressure injury reduction program aimed at decreasing pressure injuries in pediatric peri-operative patients. She continues to support this patient advocacy work through continued sustainment of projects, mentorship, educational opportunities, and interdisciplinary projects.
