Denver, Co. (April 3, 2026) – The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) has entered a strategic collaboration with Johnson & Johnson as part of the Mission Partner Program, marking an important focus on supporting perioperative nurses and advancing safe surgery.

The company joins a select group of organizations participating in AORN's Mission Partner Program, an initiative that brings together industry leaders committed to advancing the perioperative profession.

The AORN Mission Partner designation represents the highest level of strategic collaboration available to organizations aligned with AORN's mission. Participants in the program work with AORN year-round on education, thought leadership, and initiatives that strengthen perioperative practice and patient safety.

"Johnson & Johnson's leadership in advancing surgical innovation and improving healthcare outcomes makes them a natural collaborator as we work together to empower perioperative nurses and help drive safer surgical care," said AORN CEO and Executive Director David Wyatt, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR, FAORN, FAAN.

"Our Mission Partners reflect our shared commitment to perioperative practice, supporting nurses, and delivering high-quality surgical care."

"We look forward to expanding year-round collaboration, sharing expertise, and creating new opportunities to connect with the perioperative teams who make safe surgery possible," Wyatt said.
