Denver, Co. (March 13, 2026) – The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) has entered into a Mission Partnership with Solventum, marking a strategic collaboration focused on supporting perioperative nurses and advancing safe surgery.
With this announcement, Solventum joins an exclusive program grounded in meaningful collaboration in support of the perioperative profession.
The AORN Mission Partner designation represents the highest level of strategic partnership available to organizations aligned with AORN's mission. Mission Partners collaborate with AORN year‑round on education, thought leadership, and initiatives that advance perioperative practice and patient safety.
"Solventum, which is already an AORN Center of Excellence in Surgical Safety sponsor, is a valuable partner for AORN and the perioperative community because of its commitment to developing healthcare solutions that enhance safety, improve efficiency, and support clinical performance in surgical settings," said AORN CEO and Executive Director David Wyatt, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR, FAORN, FAAN.
"This Mission Partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening perioperative practice, supporting nurses, and delivering high-quality surgical care."

"We're honored to support perioperative nurses and the critical work they do every day," said Erdem Olgun, North America Infection Prevention and Surgical Solutions marketing leader at Solventum.
"For more than seven decades, AORN has set the standard for advancing perioperative practice and championing safe surgery for patients everywhere. As a Mission Partner, we will work together to advance education, evidence-based practice and innovations that help strengthen surgical care and improve patient outcomes."
Wyatt noted that AORN's Mission Partner Program brings together organizations committed to supporting nurses and strengthening perioperative practice.
"We look forward to partnering with Solventum to elevate practice and support the perioperative teams who make safe surgery possible every day," he said.
