Dr. Hanks is a Perioperative Practice Specialist at AORN, lead author of multiple AORN Guidelines, and an advanced practice registered nurse with more than 16 years of pediatric perioperative nursing experience. She has held leadership roles ranging from Director of Quality to Chief Nursing Officer and is passionate about advancing nursing leadership, perioperative practice, and education.
