Why is it Important?

AORN believes it is vital for nurses to contribute to the body of scientific knowledge around the care of surgical patients from the nursing perspective. This complimentary symposium spotlights how perioperative nursing research is shaping the profession, advancing evidence-based practices, and improving patient care and outcomes.

Participants will:

  • Learn how to fill gaps in evidence and advance perioperative practice.
  • Interact with colleagues who will present their research.
  • Discover the steps to disseminate evidence-based practice or research project findings.
