The CAIPTM is an advanced certification* established in 2018 for ASC professionals and is the only perioperative certification for an ASC infection preventionist. Licensed health care professionals (eg., perioperative nurses, physicians), who have two years’ experience in infection control and who are responsible for an ASC’s infection control program, who attain certification are distinguished as a specialist in infection prevention.
